A Message from Former Mayor Pro Tem Council member Roderick Gay
Welcome to Ward 4!
As your Former Mayor Pro-Tem Councilman, it’s my honor to serve the vibrant and historic Ward 4 — the most sought-after community in College Park.
Home to Phillips Park, thriving developments like Hawthorne Station, and soon a 39-acre botanical garden, Ward 4 is where tradition meets innovation. Thanks to legislation I sponsored, seniors pay no property taxes, and we proudly stand as the safest ward in College Park.
Ward 4 is more than a neighborhood — it’s a community built on pride, progress, and connection. My office is here to serve you. Welcome home!
Roderick Gay
Former Mayor Pro-Tem Ward 4 City of College Park

BOTANICAL GARDENS

🌿 The Future of College Park is Growing — Don’t Miss It!
Imagine 39 acres of history reborn into a breathtaking botanical garden—a space where nature, culture, and community come alive. Councilman Roderick Gay is leading the charge to transform the abandoned Camp Truitt 4-H site into a vibrant garden with waterfalls, event spaces, a Welcome Center, and an eco-library.
This is more than just flowers—it’s legacy, learning, and local pride all in one destination.
✨ Be part of the transformation.

SENIOR COMMUNITY
Upcoming Vote: Expanded Tax Exemption for Seniors & Disabled Residents
The City of College Park is proposing an update to the existing homestead exemption, removing the income cap for residents who are disabled or age 65+. This would provide a full exemption from city property taxes for qualifying homeowners.
📅 Voters will decide on this measure during the municipal election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
RESIDENT TESTIMONIALS
